Kerry Langlois is a painter living and working in Canmore, Alberta in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Born in Banff and raised in Canmore, Kerry moved to Montreal in the summer of 2007 where she spent the next eight years. She received her BFA from Concordia University in 2013, graduating with distinction in Painting and Drawing.
In 2014, Kerry returned to Canmore where she now calls home. Her current body of work explores the haunting beauty of the Rocky Mountain landscape. She is interested in the ways the mountains are constantly concealing and revealing themselves through mist, cloud and storm. The ethereal nature of this landscape as well as the flora and fauna that inhabit that space are all elements that can be seen in Kerry's mixed media paintings.
