Kerry Langlois

Hi I’m Kerry! I’m an artist based in Canmore, Alberta, a small mountain town in the Canadian Rockies just outside Banff National park. I was lucky enough to be born in Banff and grow up in the mountains, spending my childhood playing in the woods and adventuring in nature. In 2007 I moved to Montreal where I received my BFA from Concordia University, graduating with distinction in Painting and Drawing. I spent my 20’s in Montreal, mostly drawing, working (and eating) in restaurants, and absorbing all the art, music, fashion, and culture that the city has to offer. In 2014 I moved back to my hometown where I now live and work as an artist. My connection to this landscape has greatly influenced my paintings and I am always trying to capture the haunting beauty of The Rockies. I work in acrylic and resin on cradled birch panel and my work is made up of minimalist landscapes and modern representations of nature.
